Interesting spot. The service station is quite dead. But it is possible (and also legal I think) to stand next to the Autobahn, since they are going relatively slow there. There is also space for the cars to stop but no one did. Eventually I got a Truck driver from the Service Station.

Not a good spot, very few fars and most of them are locals.

We waited for 60 minutes and maybe 15 cars passed during that time. Would not recommend when you want to go east to Mannheim.

Wanted to go east to Karlsruhe and waited for 2 hours without luck. Once we changed our sign homburg we got a ride in less than 10 minutes.

We tried it at the Goldene Bremm at first but the police was patrolling there. Solid spot but we waited around 2,5h for a lift to Strasbourg.

Waited with a sign in rush hour traffic (6:45am) a few meters in front of the bus stop. Really good spot because it is just a few meters from the highway onramp to Saarbrücken. A sign could really help because most of the people are going to Saarlouis.

I would not say it is a good spot. There is a red light but cars dont really have space to stop, you must be mega fast. Got lucky here as one lady signaled to run to her car throw the things in just before the green light appeared. It was a bit streesful.

Mainly local traffic but luckily it was a sunny day so we were snacking, asking, hh with sign. We got taken by a couple in campervan.

Good spot reachable by foot, but the traffic is little. There is a German police station on the other side of the road, so a lot of lorry drivers won't take you with them (it's illegal for them). Waited a long time, but finally somebody took me to Reims in one go.

Raststätte Goldene Bremm. Perfect for going to Metz, Paris, Strasbourg or even Spain on the one hand or to Nuernberg, Dresden, Leipzig or even Poland on the other hand. Can be easily reached from the bus station Neue Bremm.

[to go to the west]:
Not a bad pleace - actually there are lso works on the streets, so the hole traffic is very slowly - but in feb 13 there were very very few cars leaving the parking place (although its big) - better in the city at the street going to the autobahn!

Little traffic, but immediately found a lift to next service area Longeville.
